Sample collaborations
Here are multiple outings of the Imaginary Authors with my co-creators, live at the Liverpool Camarade, 2015;
1. Croatia Martina Marković (1982-)with James Byrne
Memorials: James part 7; Robert part 26.
2. Bulgaria Ivaylo Dimitrov (1979-) with Patricia Farrell
Simultaneous two voice piece by the authors.
3. Sweden Kajsa Bergström (1956-)with Steven Fowler
poem 1: Steven
poem 2: Robert
4. Malta Hubert Zuba (1964-) with Scott Thurston
'Last but not least', I said, and I meant it:
5. Luxembourg Georg Bleinstein (1965-2046)* with Tom Jenks
poem: Tom and Robert read one word each. Very short…
Distribution of Georg’s life and death, a pamphlet put together for the occasion and which the audience were invited to take away absolutely free but at great cost to their sanity.
The first poet to appear by collaborative means was Gurkan Arnavut. When invited by Steven Fowler to collaborate, Zoë Skoulding and I wrote two of his poems, at Zoë’s suggestion, by the way, an experience which suggested this project (and Zoë had been goading me on to it). See Zoë read them at the bottom of this page. I like it when a single voice delivers the poems. It masks the artifice of collaboration in favour of the creation of the third voice that so many collaborators have written about. Scott also reads Hubert Zuba alone.
